Defending Law in Country, 2025

Community members Janice, Cody, Sienna and Ruth stood defiantly against logging contractors entering forest that neighbours Trawtha Mukuminya (land previously returned to the Aboriginal community) in Lutruwita’s Central Highlands. BBF had been defending that forest, which is home to wedge tailed eagles, for nearly two weeks. By the afternoon, the logging machines were removed and the forest remains.
